Words & Other Wild Things

  • Georgetown Public Library 402 W. 8th Street Georgetown, Texas 78626 USA (map)

Friends of Georgetown Public Library present Chaski in a special edition of its flute/harp program Words & Other Wild Things. It’s a look at the natural, and occasionally the super-natural, world through music and readings. There’ll be newts and geckos, a famous yew tree, a Shakespearean forest lullaby, and puffins! Inversion Ensemble’sTrevor Shaw joins Chaski on vocals and guitar.

“Oh, frabjuous day! Callooh! Callay!” We’ll also be performing the world premiere of Kimberly R. Osberg’s Jabberwocky. This newly commissioned piece is for lever harp with narration. The text is, of course, Lewis Carrol’s iconic poem.

The concert is free—we hope to see you there.
